How to make an appointment
Making an appointment with University Career Services is easy in Patriot Connect.
As of May 1, 2025, George Mason University has transitioned to Patriot Connect for scheduling student services appointments. Students and recent graduates should now log in to Patriot Connect to request an appointment with a career advisor.
If you're unable to schedule an appointment through Patriot Connect, please call University Career Services at 703-993-2370 for assistance.
Note: While we are no longer scheduling appointments in Handshake, all other Handshake features are still in use and available to George Mason current students and alumni.

Accommodations
Please let us know if you need accommodations by contacting us at 703-993-2370 or careers@gmu.edu. We will either make the necessary arrangements or direct you to the best office for support in making the accommodations.
Alumni appointments
Individual career advising appointments are available to George Mason University alumni free of charge. Alumni are limited to six appointments within a 12 month period. Do you know your NetID and Gnumber? If so, you can login to Patriot Connect and make an appointment with an Advisor on your own! If not, please call 703-993-2370 and we can assist you.
Late arrivals
A grace period of 15 minutes from the start of the scheduled appointment time will be allowed for late arrivals. Appointments that start late will still end at the originally scheduled time. Students/alums who arrive/login for an appointment more than 15 minutes late will not be seen that day, and will need to reschedule.
No shows or same day cancellations
Missing an appointment without providing University Career Services sufficient notice prevents other Mason students and alumni from meeting with us at that time. You can cancel or reschedule your appointment through Patriot Connect or by contacting us at 703-993-2370.
