Enhance the career readiness of Mason students by inviting University Career Services to visit your class or group

Each interactive presentation helps students make progress toward specific career goals. Presentations are tailored to your group and can be customized for a specific industry, student organization, or current events.

Please submit your request at least TWO WEEKS in advance so we have time to prepare your presentation.

Let our Peer Career Advising team come to you and help your team write resumes, cover letters, or personal statements. This is a great option for Registered Student Organizations. (Attendees must bring a career-related document to this workshop).

Career Services Overview (30 min)
Get a Handshake demo, an overview of career counseling, industry advising, and career resources available to Mason students. This is a great option for UNIV 100 & 101 courses.

Resume and Cover Letter (1-1.5 hours)
Gain insights on crafting effective resumes in the first hour. Add cover letter-writing for a 90 minute workshop.

Networking (1 hour)
Learn to identify potential contacts, make an introduction, and find ways to connect online and in-person.

Interviewing (1 hour)
Get insight into what to do before, during, and after an interview, and develop accomplishment-focused interview responses using the STAR interviewing formula.

Career Assessment (1-1.5 hours)
Complete one of the following: CliftonStrengths, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), SkillScan, Strong Interest Inventory. Then receive feedback as a group.

Get guidance on aligning your major or career with your values, skills and interests.
